Many people keep asking; who are The Qoheleths and what are their teachings? This is why we present ourselves to you and call on you to join us.
There is no doubt that many of us are experiencing uncontrollable hardship in Nigeria. This has resulted in bad governance, excessive corruption, lawlessness, insecurity, underdevelopment, and all manners of vices. These are affecting each and every one of us directly and indirectly.
Many people have suggested that these challenges came from politicians and political leaders. These people can be said to be correct. Many also said that the problems came with the people. These people are also correct. Some others said the challenges came from the structural imbalance, poorly managed institutions, and a decaying society that lacked values. These people are also right.
If all these are acceptable as the basis of our problems in Nigeria, then the solution is not to start pointing accusing fingers at each other. Many Nigerians have held many conferences, workshops, and seminars to address these issues. Some of them were impactful but have not actually resolved the problems. Some have suggested that all politicians should be wiped out through violent revolution. This will still not solve the problems. Many have given up on the situation and laid them on the feet of God.
But today, I tell you that the solution to Nigeria’s problems is here and lies on our feet. Our society, no doubt is rotten in all sectors; politics, religion, institutions, organizations, tribes, and families. What we require therefore is a gradual but courageous social and political nonviolent revolution. We need total transformation through the enthronement of values cut across all sectors. This will be initiated by very courageous and patriotic Nigerians from all sectors of life. This is why we created The Qoheleth.
The Qoheleth is a movement designed to enthrone morals and values within Nigerian society and beyond. The aim is to enthrone social, religious, political, and economic values that will eradicate the current high level of corruption, lawlessness, insecurity, and immorality.
Many people are willing to be change agents but have not seen an open and practicable platform apart from politics. The Qoheleths are a group of people who genuinely desire to reform our country through sustainable standard practices.
The Qoheleth is a non-religious and non-political movement. It is a movement designed to reform our country through social, political, economic and religious reorientation. In doing this, we have designed political, religious, business, and family programmes to teach people new and more effective ways of living especially towards the enthronement of good leadership, ethical values, economic empowerment, and quality morals.
We appeal to you to join us in this movement. Your contribution is to live your life above average. Avoid lawlessness, crime, corrupt practices, and immorality. Listen to the teachings of The Qoheleth and help in sharing them within the society.
