Professor Ikechukwu Banjamin Ezeohagwu is the Chancellor and President, African American University, Director and Founder, African American Business School, and Consultant Neurographiasical Graphologist, Yaba College of Technology, Yaba Lagos.
Professor Ezeohagwu, born on August 29, 1970, in Mgbidi, Enugu State, Nigeria, is a globally recognized scholar, graphologist, and educationist. With an illustrious academic journey, he holds a Diploma in Comparative Arts (Distinction, Academie Studios Lagos, 1993–1995), a Higher Diploma in Graphology (Distinction, UNIFECS, Ile-Ife, 1996–1999), a BSc in Graphopsychology (First Class, British American University, Florida, 2004–2005), MSc and PhD degrees in Graphopsychology (British American University, Florida, 2006–2010), a B.A.Ed in Fine Applied Arts (Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, 2008–2011), and M.A. and PhD degrees in Comparative Visual Arts Graphoanalysis (British American University, Florida, 2012–2016). He was appointed Professor of Graphoanalysis by the University of Business Technology, Wilmington Delaware, USA, and Edexcel University, Republic of Benin (2015), and Professor of Comparative Graphology at British American University, Florida (2018).
As the first Nigerian and Black African Professor of Graphoanalysis, Prof. Ezeohagwu is celebrated for his groundbreaking contributions to the field. He is the patent originator of BENEZOGRAFS (2012), a graphical-statistical graphoanalysis system that maps psychographic energy waves in handwritten documents. His innovative work includes Neurographiasical Graphoanalysis, a tool for analyzing brain energy waves, and Comparative Psychovisual Art Analysis, which examines artists’ personality traits through their visual works. Additionally, his Comparative Psychogestural Graphoanalysis model analyzes human behavioral patterns through movements, with applications in high-profile cases such as the article “Dereck Chauvin’s Murderous Actions and Comparative Translational Graphoanalysis Correlates.”
A distinguished scholar, Prof. Ezeohagwu was named the Chinua Achebe and Wole Soyinka Graphological Research Scholar by Neptune Prime (2019) and received a tripartite award from the Culture and Creative Art Forum, Society of Nigerian Artists (Lagos Chapter), and Yaba College of Technology (2018). He was listed in BLERF’s Who’s Who in Nigeria Online (2018) for his contributions to graphology, education, and the arts. He is also the first Black African winner of the Onigraffiks Prize in Literature for Graphological Literature (2017) and received the International Partnership and Consultancy Award from Escae University, Benin (2017).
As a consultant graphologist at Yaba College of Technology (2019–present), a regular columnist, and a researcher, Prof. Ezeohagwu has been published by platforms such as Neptune Prime, Historical Nigeria, and Merchant of Knowledge Africa. His work has been recognized by Bart Baggett and Handwriting University (2020) for advancing global graphological knowledge. He serves as Chancellor and President of the African American University and Director of the African American Business School, fostering education and leadership across the continent.
